Wesley Chapel – Wiregrass Ranch Update

The developer of the Shops at Wiregrass Ranch obtained a $132 million loan to begin the second phase of construction at the Wesley Chapel retail center.

Forest City Enterprises (NYSE: FCEA and FCEB) financed the loan with RBS Citizens NA as the lead lender and Wachovia Bank and National City Bank, according to a company statement released Feb. 25.

JCPenney is already open at the 800,000-square-foot mall near the intersection of Bruce B. Downs Boulevard and State Road 56 in Wesley Chapel. Macy’s, Dillard’s, Banana Republic, Apple and Barnes & Noble are expected to open in October.

Forest City, based in Cleveland, is developing the Main Street-style shopping center that will feature 100 specialty retail stores and an array of signature restaurants.
