42 New Tenants Announced For The Shops at Wiregrass

Wesley Chapel, FL – March 19, 2008 – Retailers, jewelry stores and restaurants are among the mix of new tenants coming to The Shops at Wiregrass, developers Forest City Development and The Goodman Company announced today.
Coach, 365 Café Italiano, GrillSmith, Marks & Morgan and Gymboree a few of the clothiers, accessories and children’s stores, and eateries that will compose The Shops at Wiregrass, an 800,000-square-foot, Main Street-style outdoor shopping and entertainment center on State Road 56 and Bruce B. Downs Boulevard. Scheduled to open October 30, The Shops at Wiregrass will become a true gathering place for Wesley Chapel/New Tampa residents, serving a growing population.

“These tenants will be excellent additions to anchor stores Dillard’s, Macy’s and JC Penney. The Shops at Wiregrass will offer today’s shopper the lifestyle-center experience with the convenience of department store shopping and the unique mix of small retailer shopping,” said Jim Richardson of Forest City Development. “We expect to announce additional stores prior to Grand Opening in October.”
“The excellent location of our venue, in one of the fastest growing markets in Florida, will attract young adults and seniors, new families and empty-nesters,” said John W. Dowd III, senior vice president of development for The Goodman Company. “The Wesley Chapel/New Tampa area is seeing tremendous growth. The Shops at Wiregrass will offer current and future residents quick access, via the new S.R. 56, to meet their shopping, dining and entertainment needs,” he continued.
Construction for the S.R. 56 extension begins March 19 and will be completed in October. “With an eclectic tenant mix that includes fashion, home décor and entertainment venues, The Shops at Wiregrass will offer visitors a pedestrian-friendly, outdoor lifestyle village that invites lingering and relaxation, with curved tree-lined streets, open-air cafés and pocket parks,” Dowd added.
About Wiregrass Ranch:
Wiregrass Ranch is a 5,022-acre property owned by the Porter family since 1940. It is under development as a master-planned community and will include retail, residential, civic, hospital, educational, office and park uses. Total build out is anticipated over a 10-year period. The Shops at Wiregrass, developed by Forest City Commercial Development and The Goodman Company, the first phase of the project, is a pedestrian-friendly, outdoor lifestyle village with curved tree-lined streets, open-air cafes and pocket parks that invite lingering and relaxation.
