Winds of Change in Tampa

Published by Lance Mohr | Filed under Market Update

It has been stated from an independent mortgage poll, Tampa has been dealt a hard blow from the housing crisis.  It further stated, for the past three years, prices have been on the downward trend and the inventory of Tampa homes for sale has remained at a higher level.  To ignore this would be ludicrous, as it clearly evident across the nation.  Tampa is predicted to deflate on median home values in 2009, lower than other areas, such as Miami, which is forecast to deflate even more.  Nevertheless, there are some positive signs of a slowdown, as compared to the past three years in the downward trend.   A change in venue may produce change upon the horizon, as the government has been involved at every level in attempting to turn around the economy.  The results yet remain to be seen.  Let us hope the changes arrive sooner than later or we may all be out of a job.
